The California Department of Public Health provides free therapy for those wanting to address their problem gambling behavior. I have completed the requirements to be able to provide this service through my private practice. I am not currently providing this service, but other providers are available for support.
I bring harm reduction techniques to a community that is often only provided with abstinence-only treatment options, or simply told to go to Gamblers Anonymous (GA). Of course, if your goal is not to gamble at all, that is what we will work together to achieve. But if you have tried that and it hasn't "stuck," maybe utilizing a harm reduction approach could make the difference.
The State of California also provides free therapy to those affected by gambling. If you are the loved one, friend, or family member and have experienced the impact of someone else's gambling in your life, you are also eligible for this service. Please reach out for further information.
